Hair braiding with Adeline and Jiah Salley 11am-3pm Adeline and Jiah Salley, originally from the Ivory Coast will decorate your hair African style. Children’s games A variety of children’s games will be held during the day led by the Sudanese Youth Association. Film showing: Elhigrah Duration: 23 minutes. A film produced by Museum of Brisbane with Brisbane’s Sudanese community will be shown in the library throughout the day. Elhigrah, Arabic for migration, explores the lives of eight Sudanese households in Brisbane. Stories of journeys, hopes and dreams are revealed through this documentary. Soccer game 3.15pm The day will end with a soccer game at Seville Road State School oval, Halsey Street, Holland Park. CELEBRATION DAY 11
