YOUTH WEEK EVENTS AT BRISBANE SQUARE LIBRARY Activities for young people aged 15-28 years. GET LOUD! SONGWRITING AND PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP* Join accomplished performers Susanna Carmen and Sara Tindley for this one-day workshop, designed to support participants in their teens and early twenties to discover ways of expressing complex thoughts and feelings through the songwriting process. All levels of musicianship welcome. Participants will have the opportunity to present their song at the Youth Arts Showcase in King George Square on Saturday 17 April. Saturday 10 April 10am-5pm Think of all the things you have been told you can't do in libraries and let's explore the options! NOT ALOUD IN THE LIBRARY: SLAM POETRY WORKSHOP* Join hip hop MC, beatmaker and Slam Poetry champion Darkwing Dubs for an insight into writing and performing slam poetry. Develop some serious skills and get confident behind the pen and the microphone. Participants will have the opportunity to present their work on Friday 16 April at 'Not aloud in the library' and at the Youth Arts Showcase in King George Square on Saturday 17 April. Sunday 11 April 12 noon-2pm
