Ideas from the audience are brought to life during the show with Cloudstreet’s Nicole Murray drawing the characters of these riveting tales as the stories unfold to music on concertina, flute and guitar. Loads of laughs, made-up verses and rollicking tales of derring-do at Indooroopilly, Fairfield, Mt Ommaney, Sunnybank Hills, brisbane Square and Chermside Libraries. MAGICAL GYPSY CAT banyo, Grange, Toowong, Coopers Plains and Holland Park Libraries will be presenting a delightful story about Gabby, a lonely and bored house cat. So, how is it that she gets transformed into ‘Gabriella’, a magical gypsy cat? Can she really play a musical instrument and sing? Gabbie magically meets Zarra, a beautiful gypsy girl who is learning magic. Unfortunately, she doesn’t always get the spells right! PIRATe STORYbOOk MAGIC SHOw The pir ate magician displays a children’s pirate stor ybook at Ashgrove, C arin a, C arindale, Z illmere, bracken Ridge, bulimba and west end Librari es. A s the pirate reads the book to the children a map falls out of it. The children and pirate magician us e the magical lamp to find the treasu re by completing m agical tasks along with Patch es, the naughty parrot. After all the trick s have worked the children find the treasure box that has magic wand s inside. bOOkS ARe MAGIC! A MAGIC SHOw FOR ALL AGeS Magician SuperSteff loves books and her books are e s pecially magical. One book is totally erased by the children’s magical skills. An other book has a spider on the cover – it’s just an illustration b ut it’s moving and is fin ally found on Steff’s back! Even a naughty wizard from a book comes to life! SuperSteff and the children turn him into a rabbit at everton Park, Nundah, Sandgate, wynnum, Inala and Corinda Librari es. JULIAN AND HIS ReALLY bIG MAGICAL bOOkS What m ake s Julian’s books so s pe cial?
