They had been buried in the north brisbane burial grounds between 1843 and 1875. although many of the remains were very poorly preserved, scientific investigations are ongoing and interesting stories about the cemetery and these individuals continue to be unearthed. in this talk, Dr John Prangnell explains archaeological excavations, discusses the scientific studies and recounts some of the remarkable stories which have risen from this discovery. warning: images of human skeletal remains will be shown during this talk. saturday 21 may 10.30am-12 noon brisbane Square library * Places are limited.
