"Coolamon - carrying the culture" Monday 21 April until Sunday 25 May As part of Council's Cultural Connections in Libraries, Brisbane Square Library and Customer Centre will be transformed into a keeping place where cultural artefacts, artworks and historical photos will be displayed. The program will include talks, workshops, movies and performers. Celebration Day Sunday 11 May Reddacliff Place (the open space located at the top of the mall in between the casino and the Brisbane Square building). The major celebration day will take place in Reddacliff Place on Sunday 11 May where you will enjoy talented Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performers presenting their traditional and contemporary culture through music and dance. You will have the unique and rare opportunity to meet elders, listen to story tellers, musicians and poets and discover the rich history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. ........................... Access arts exhibition Access Arts in partnership with Garden City Library is proud to present From Darkness to Light art exhibition, where ten artists share their journey of discovery through art. Their work will be on display in the library until the end of April. The exhibition will be launched on Sunday 6 ApriI1.30pm. Garden City Library 4MBS Classic FM Music Appreciation Beethoven - The Man and his Music Explore the life and music of one of the world's greatest composers, Ludwig van Beethoven at Brisbane Square, Carindale, Chermside and Toowong Libraries during April. Beethoven composed some of the most remarkable music ever written and this music appreciation session will cover his greatest works, with an emphasis on his symphonies.
